Who’s ready for some community fun?

As someone who has been involved to varying degrees in planning something like 150+ events around town, I can honestly say "ME!! Me, I am! I am totally ready for some community fun!!".

I haven't pulled out the pop-up tent in close to two years now and that just does not feel right. I miss the smiling faces that stop by to say "hi" and I miss making friends with the people that have them. I miss the vendors showing off the cool things they do. I miss the food that you can only get at a festival.

I miss watching my kids wear themselves out on the inflatables, too, but that has more to do with them being, like, all grown up and stuff.

So I am seriously excited for Heritage Days this weekend, particularly that Saturday full of vendors and food trucks and the beer tent and the Kid Zone...

And did you know there's a mechanical bull??

Not to mention that community art project in the Loop Tent! That is, in fact, where you'll find me along with a nice assortment of our lovely Loop Members.

You may remember the painting project in 2019 (pictured in progress above). This year, we're making mosaics on two picnic tables created by Akron artist John Comunale and I can't wait to see how they turn out! Make sure you stop by, say "hi", and at least take a peek at the progress. You might just decide to place a piece or two.
