We’ve Got the Members to Show It
This is one of those weeks when I look at the things I want to say and the members I want to give an anniversary shoutout or an official welcome to, all gathered there together, and a thought pops into my head that I can't get out until I tell it to you.
This week's thought: This is why we love it here!
Things I want to say:
- Thanks so much to all who participated in this year's Holiday Hop! Passports are in the process of being gathered, and winners will be drawn and notified before the end of the week. Best of luck to you all, and be ready to do it all again next year because plans are already in the works!
- Thanks, too, to Copley Township for planning another wonderful Circle Lighting event! Seriously, I'm pretty sure that even the Grinch enjoyed it - I totally saw him smiling.
Members I want to give an anniversary shoutout to:
- Copley-Fairlawn City Schools, a source of some serious pride in the community, and for very good reason.
- Challenge Island of Summit-Medina, a one-of-a-kind STEAM enrichment program that makes learning fun... and an adventure!
- Erin Johnson, eXp Realty, "Outstanding Ohio’s Most Resourceful Realtor", and possibly the craftiest to boot!
- Jacobs Heritage Farm, making social media a better place one adorable goat, kitten, food, craft, or baby picture at a time.
And last, but most certainly not least, we have a new member to welcome to The Loop, and she's bringing a new tradition to Copley!
You might remember Ms. Linda of Hitch-in-Time Carriage Service from her Springtime fundraiser for the Copley Outreach Center when she gave out carriage rides in exchange for food donations.
Well, I'm excited to say that Ms. Linda is officially a Loop Member so you can not only find her for all your horse-drawn carriage renting needs (weddings, birthdays, parties, engagements, just because "why not"...), but also so I can tell you about her "Charles Dickens Magic of the Holidays" rides!
According to Ms. Linda, "You will leave the modern world behind the moment you step into the one and only Charles Dickens Carriage pulled by a beautiful spotted draft known as Bingo, he will take you through the Historic Streets serenaded by harness jingle as only he can."
All while you stay snuggled up under the carriage top with a warm lap robe!
Rides will be available in the afternoon and the evening, but you will need to schedule ahead of time. Visit the Hitch-in-Time website to learn more, then get ready to step back in time for the holidays!
Well, That Escalated Quickly!
Voting for the "Copley's Holiday Lights" contest opened just last Thursday afternoon and there are already over 450 votes!
You have until December 31st to drive by all five houses and cast your vote for your favorite.
And thank you to all who entered for sharing your delightful lights!
