Time for the Grand Finale!
It's been a busy year of Bicentennial celebrations and hopefully, you've been able to enjoy a few of the events along the way.
Of course, we understand if you've missed a few here and there. That happens. But now it's time for the Grand Finale and this is definitely a weekend you don't want to miss!
There's Friday night with a charity football game leading to a symphonic winds concert and ending in fireworks with food available throughout the evening.
There's Saturday starting with the pancake breakfast at the fire station then heading to the park with vendors for shopping, bounce houses for kids, laser tag for teens, Akronym beer for adults, food for all, the parade at 5:00, a concert from Detention, and so much more...
The Loop will be there with a few members, too! We'll be easy to find in a big party tent - stop by to say "hi" and maybe stick around to paint a small canvas as part of a community art project (it's free!).
And finally, there's Sunday with the wind-down. Students from Ms. Sturkey's 1999 English class will read letters that were buried in a time capsule, attendees will have the opportunity to write their own letters to the future, and Rep. Bill Roemer will issue a proclamation before the Sunday Bandstand Concert featuring Phil n' the Blanks.
