Paul Janos Community Impact Award
As part of the 2022 Copley Heritage Days celebrations, the Copley Community Chamber of Commerce will present one worthy resident with the first annual Paul Janos Community Impact Award.This award will be given in honor of Paul Janos, President of the Copley Chamber’s Board of Trustees from 2016 through 2020, who passed away in November of 2020 after a long and difficult battle with cancer.
Paul’s passions for community, service, and lifting up the underdog were evident to all who knew him, and his impact on the Chamber itself was immeasurable. Every community is supported by people like Paul, people with the natural inclination to infuse all they do with an intent to improve the lives of others, and Copley is no exception. The Chamber would like to recognize those people in appreciation for the impact of their service and in honor of Paul’s.
Criteria for all Paul Janos Community Impact Award nominees include:
• Must be a resident of Copley Township.
• Must be nominated by a third party.
• Must be shown to have had a demonstrable impact on members of the Copley community through paid work, volunteer efforts, or both.
• Must be available to accept the award in person during a special Heritage Days event on Saturday, August 6th, from 7:00 until 9:00.

Name, address, and a minimum of one additional form of contact information must be provided for both nominee and person submitting. Nominations will be accepted in person or by mail at Copley Town Hall (Attn: Copley Chamber, 1540 S. Cleveland Massillon Rd., Copley, Ohio 44321) or by email to Allison Chrien, Executive Director, at thecopleychamber@gmail.com through Friday, June 10, 2022.
Nominees will be reviewed by a committee and the chosen recipient will be notified by Thursday, June 30, 2022.
