One New for the Foodies
Just in time for a holiday that centers around family and food, we're welcoming a new member for the foodies in your family!
Now, I don't know if I've mentioned this before, but I love food. I love to read about it and to compare recipes, to try new and funky flavors, and (when I have time) to cook for my family.
So when I first walked into The Tilted Olive in Fairlawn, I was in heaven!
Owner Danielle Fink gave me tiny little samples of various olive oils and balsamic vinegars, and I studied the recipe cards for inspiration. You see, I was buying a gift and I wanted an assortment that spoke of the recipient's taste preferences, and that was an extremely difficult decision that required knowing all my options.
The second time I walked in, it was because I'd been thinking FOR WEEKS about the Alfoos Mango White Balsamic Condimento and Peach White Balsamic (sorry, no link - you'll just have to stop in the store to check it out). I left there with an assortment of my own, and then promptly went home to cook. That night, we had:
- Chicken breasts marinaded in olive oil, All Natural Aged Lavender Vinegar Condimento, garlic, and thyme,
- Broccoli roasted in Persian Lime Olive Oil with garlic,
- Potatoes roasted in Mushroom and Sage Olive Oil (stop in to check that one out, too!) and, you know... garlic,
- And for dessert, vanilla ice cream with fresh blueberries and a drizzle of Persian Lime Olive Oil (trust me on this).
Suffice it to say, the third time I went back, it was because I'd used up all my baby-sized Persian Lime Olive Oil and it was time to stock up with the "big mama".
I'll be back for my fourth time soon because I'm almost out of the rest!

Our Thanks for Your Support
The coming holiday is also about Thanks so in honor of that and also the season of shopping that's right on its heels, we'd like to take a moment to thank you for your ongoing support of the businesses and organizations of The Loop.
It's that kind of support that keeps our community strong!
So as you're planning your days, remember that you can find just the right fit for any themed approach at loopincoply.com. We have businesses having sales, and most of those businesses are small. Some are as small as a single person, possibly an artist, who you might be able to shop from online but who you might also find as a vendor at an event.
And we also have events that are all about giving!
So click through the tabs on the site for Destinations, Organizations, Maker Members, and Businesses. Take a good look at the Calendar for events this weekend (ahem... Holiday at The Barn at Wolf Creek... The Artful Cricket Henna... both pictured above and linked below...) and beyond (so much, but more on those next week!).
Doing Outdoor Decorating This Weekend?
There's just one week left to enter the Copley Holiday Lights contest - entries are due by the end of the day on the 30th so that voting can begin on the 1st! For more information, visit loopincopley.com/copleys-holiday-lights.
