It’s really only been a year?!

It seemed to pop up out of nowhere but quickly felt like it had always been there, the fit was just that perfect...

Cardinal Cakes and Coffee has defied the odds. It's challenging enough to open a new business during the best of times and they opened their doors during a global pandemic! Yet they've not only managed to keep their doors open, but they've even managed to grow during their first year.

And you, my friends, have played no small part in that.

Their ribbon cutting boasted a line that stretched out the door and across the parking lot. Social media feeds brought a steady stream of "look what I got, have you tried??" posts in the months that followed. You showed up, and you showed the owners that you were happy to have them here.

And, of course, why wouldn't you be happy to have them? Their treats (be they sweet or savory, baked or brewed) are simply scrumptious!

So this awesome little bakery with a cool "modern farmhouse" feel grew its coffee options to include lattes, grew its seating space to a whole new room, and grew its baked offerings to satisfy the demand for full-on loaves of bread.

I, for one, can't wait to see what they grow to do next!

Here's wishing Cardinal a happy anniversary in Copley as well as a happy anniversary in The Loop, and a heartfelt thanks to them for doing what they do so well.

And thanks, too, to you for continuing to show up and support so that we all can continue to enjoy it!
