It All Starts Monday
Did you know that this year's Copley Heritage Days technically begin next Monday the 24th? They do because that's the day that The Winery at Wolf Creek begins their limited-time offering of the Copley Mule!
The Copley Mule is made with gin in honor of Chancey and WIlliam Davis, the founders of the first distillery in Copley back in 1820, and will only be available through the last day of the main Heritage Day weekend, Sunday the 6th.
What better way to get into the Spirits of Copley? (See what I did there...)
So as you're sitting there at the winery, sippin' your mule and enjoying the view, check out the Heritage Day website at copleyheritageday.org. Vendors will be posted soon and a few details might get updated here and there along the way but all in all, that schedule is looking pretty solid - you can start scoping out now what you won't want to miss.
And, hey, maybe think about signing up for the Copley Heritage 5k and/or the Bake-Off while you're at it, because why not!
But to bounce back to those spirits for just a moment...
For those of you who haven't heard, the Copley Chamber announced recently that this year's recipient of the Paul Janos Community Impact Award will be Maryann Henry, Director of the Copley Outreach Center. Maryann will receive the award during the Spirits of Copley evening event on Saturday, August 5th. Everyone is invited to bring their blankets and chairs to Copley Community Park from 7:00 - 9:30 to enjoy the music of the Ben Gage Band, possibly partake in the spirits of Brighten Brewing Company and The Winery at Wolf Creek, and to thank Maryann for the positive impact she's made on the Copley community.
After all, "community" is what it's all about!
