Hitting the Highlights of the Week
There's much to say, so let's get right to it!
Thank you for the Heritage Day fun!
It may have been a bit toasty but oh, my goodness, did we ever have fun this past Heritage Day weekend! Gracious thanks to the committee, the township, all of the volunteers, everyone involved, and everyone who attended for making the full year of planning all worthwhile.
And an additional shoutout to all who participated in this year's Community Art Project! Check out a small sampling of the creative approaches to Sharpie/alcohol/tile art below alongside the nearly-completed 2019 painting project.
Keep following The Loop for updates to come on both projects as they continue to move forward along with the mosaic table from 2021!
Say "hello" and get to know Ayusa International.
We have a new Organization member to welcome! Please say "hello" to Ayusa International, a "non-profit high school exchange organization dedicated to developing the next generation of global leaders and world citizens."
Whether you're interested in hosting a student or becoming one, exchange programs are an amazing opportunity to broaden perspectives and learn about the world through experience.
And I happen to speak from experience here, myself! My family hosted a student from Finland when I was 12. I still think every house having a sauna should be the norm here, too.
If you would like to learn more about the opportunities Ayusa has to offer, be sure to visit the Ayusa profile page on The Loop to get the contact info of Gigi Gerstenberger, U.S. Programs Advisor and Ohio Representative - she'll be happy to fill you in!
Say "hello" again to Koi Botanicals!
We're also wishing a very happy Loop anniversary to Koi Botanicals, one of our local Maker Members!
Koi's owner, Heather Lentz, "utilizes the power of nature to create original skincare formulations that deliver noticeable results." She has a full line of formulations for a variety of skincare needs.
She even has a skincare quiz to help you find the perfect products!
I may have had some fun playing with that a bit ago because, you know... quiz. And it was important to find out whether I really needed the Basil Blue Cleansing Balm.
And, yes, I do really need the Basil Blue Cleansing Balm. I also need the Rose Water Eye & Face Serum. And that Herbal Jelly really does look like the perfect alternative to traditional petroleum jelly...
