Have You Noticed Them?

Each week, I like to take this space to tell you about what stands out the most to me at the time. That might mean a new member (or two 😊), or a particular event from the week's list of Happenings, or something singularly Loop-y that any newbies might not know about.

This week, though, what stands out the most is the recurring themes. If you haven't noticed them, here's what I mean.

With just a couple of exceptions, most of the events listed for this week and next are recurring events. Every Tuesday brings trivia at Firehouse Tavern and the new "Ladies Night" at The Winery at Wolf Creek. The winery also has musicians that perform on the same night every month, just as The Market Path has its First Saturday Sale every first Saturday.

Then, there's the Employment Opportunities. Recurring, because there's always Employment Opportunities! The "who's hiring" and "for what" may change, but you'll always find the "who's hiring" listed below the Happenings and the "for what" at loopincopley.com/employment.

And there's one more recurring theme that stands out this week (even though it only recurs once a year and the deadline's not for a while yet so we might really, really want to ignore it until it's almost time to panic but we really, really shouldn't do that)...

Taxes.

See, I happened to come across this flyer for T. Reynolds Enterprises, LLC this morning and it's got me thinking about such things as how it happens every year and I should totally be ready for it by now.

I'll have to start thinking about whether I'm ready or not, how about you?

So that's why recurring themes are what stood out to me the most this week. Plus, I felt like I'd already covered singularly Loop-y things recently. Of course, "recently" turned out to be over a month ago. And we did pick up some newbies since then.

I suppose a mention couldn't hurt...
