Find Your Cause in The Loop
I have a theory, and the theory is this: We all have a cause.
Something that we feel passionately enough about to want to volunteer our valuable time.
Now, some of us have one cause, and some of us have many. Some are willing to give up an hour or two on occasion during the year, and some are willing to give more of their time for free than they're generally paid to give.
The details may vary but I truly believe that we all have a cause, even if we haven't found it yet.
As you may or may not have noticed, The Loop has a page on the website just for listing Volunteer opportunities. That page has mostly been a bit of a placeholder in the past, listing just a few opportunities that rarely changed, but that status is changing as of today.
We already had causes of emergency preparedness, community togetherness, musical appreciation, and local business cooperation. Today, we've officially added causes of mental health, youth mentoring, planet greening, and cancer patient support.
And we've really only just begun to scratch the surface of what our Organization members need and the causes they support!
So keep your eyes on that box down below the list of Happenings (you know, the box that contains the list of Opportunities) and maybe give a visit to the Volunteer page now and then, just to see what's there.
You just might find a cause of your own.
