Finally, a BAKERY!!

There's been talk for YEARS that Copley needs a bakery near the circle and guess what... We're finally getting one!!

In case you can't tell, I'm more than a little excited.

I mean, c'mon. Just look at those pics up there (grabbed from Cardinal Cakes and Coffee's Instagram). And you should know, what you're looking at (from left to right) is maple bacon cupcakes, blueberry lemon scones, and tiramisu cupcakes.

Those are some very good signs of yummy things to come right there!

John and Lea Stewart are an awesome husband-and-wife team who'll be opening Cardinal Cakes and Coffee right next door to fellow Loop member, The Market Path. There's going to be plenty of baked goods, some fresh- and cold-brewed coffee options, and, yes, even free WiFi. And weather permitting, there might just be a nice spot to sit outside and enjoy it all.

Combine all that with an "industrial farmhouse" decor that's coming along nicely and I don't know about you but I know where I want to "work from home" when I need to get away from home!

The Stewarts are still jumping through some final hoops but will announce their opening day just as soon as they can. And now that they're officially in The Loop, you know I'll be shouting that announcement from the rooftops as soon as it's ready.

In the meantime, maybe show them a little social media love on their Facebook and Instagram pages and let them know you're excited, too!
