I'm very excited to welcome Spring Garden Waldorf School as our first official new Loop member of 2021!
If you don't know about the school on Jacoby Road, I recommend taking some time to learn just a little bit about it. I've been collecting stories about what they do and following along on Instagram for a while now and it makes me want to be a kid again if only I could go! It looks like such a magical place...
Lessons are presented in colorful chalk drawings, become incorporated into handwork and physical play, and occur outside in the fresh air on a regular basis.
"Spring Garden Waldorf School is committed to educating each child so that they will contribute to the future of the world with clear and creative thinking, compassion, moral strength, and courage."
Well. That just sounds awesome.
Even if you don't have kids (or have magical plans to be a kid again), there's still good reason to get to know the school. In addition to the community pride of Copley being home to one of only two accredited Waldorf schools in Ohio, they might just have an event that will be open and of interest to you.
Their Annual Benefit Auction will be on Saturday, May 8th, and it sounds like a whole lotta fun! It's going to be live online and everyone that buys a ticket gets a drink kit, meal kit, and sponsor goodie bag with local business items delivered or available for pickup before the online event. Click here to check out info on last year's online event and then stay tuned for this year's to be added to the Loop calendar before long!
In the meantime, help us give them a warm welcome to The Loop by learning more and maybe giving a Like or Follow for the occasional insight into their magic.
It might be impossible to be a kid again but at least it's possible to find inspiration to feel like one. ❤
Thursday, January 14
- Copley Chamber Monthly Meeting from 12:00 - 1:00 via Zoom
