Bringing the Can-Do Attitude
Yesterday, the Copley Chamber of Commerce officially announced that their first Paul Janos Community Impact Award will be presented to Helen Humphrys during this year's Copley Heritage Days Spirits of Copley event.
Helen is not only a former Copley Township Trustee, but has also been a constant and avid supporter of Copley's various community events and organizations. I, myself, have been in countless meetings where Helen's vast knowledge, can-do attitude, and ready wit had her to answering multiple questions, solving multiple problems, and causing multiple chuckles throughout.
The Loop would like to congratulate Helen on the well-deserved honor and thank her for her tireless service that inspired so many others.
And on that note...
Hey, have you by chance taken a gander at the Volunteer page of The Loop lately?
The Volunteer page stands as a resource for anyone looking to get involved in the community (including anyone looking to fulfill the occasional volunteer hour obligation...), listing the organizations in search of help and what that help might be.*
I bring it to your particular attention today because the Copley Car Show is coming up on Sunday, July 10th, and it's a vast undertaking so the organizers could use all sorts of help! If you can spare an hour or three that day, please visit the Volunteer page for more information.
And even if you can't make it that day, maybe check out the page nonetheless! There are plenty of other organizations, including Copley Heritage Days and the Copley Community Volunteers, that could also use all sorts of help.
Vast knowledge is rarely required, simply bring your own can-do attitude.
Bonus points for a ready wit!
*If you know of a Volunteer opportunity that could be added to the list, please send information to allison@erins20.sg-host.com.
