Another Way to Eat Local

We have a new member to welcome today and the timing couldn't be more perfect.

You see, one of the main goals of The Loop from the very beginning was to support our local farms by helping people find them where they are. In fact, Jacobs Heritage Farm and The Winery at Wolf Creek were two of our original members in 2018, Carl Harp Nursery joined us one year later, and it's been my honor and privilege to work with them all and their awesomeness ever since.

And you know what just occurred to me today? This month marks exactly four years since The Loop was first officially announced!

So that's why I'm particularly excited to welcome today's new member, Rhythm & Roots Farm, a first-generation,17-acre family farm raising pastured poultry and pork and more (including a sweet little family) right here in Copley.

And they make it super easy to support them. Simply visit their website to see all the options they have available, order online, then pick up your order at the farm. (If you could try to save some of those Mangalitsa Breakfast Sausage Patties for my husband, though, that'd be much appreciated - he prefers patties over links but they're surprisingly hard to find!)

But there is another option... Have you discovered Market Wagon yet? It's like an online farmers market! You place your order on that site and on your area's designated day, it's delivered right to your door. I'd been wanting to mention that Jacobs Heritage Farm recently announced being on Market Wagon, so this is my chance because now you can find Rhythm & Roots there, too!

Of course, if you don't mind the drive to the Van Aken District in Shaker Heights, you can always head up to shop their booth at the North Union Farmers Market on Thursday evenings. That's still keeping it local, really, so if you're looking for a change of scenery, I say go for it!

Me? I think it's time I map out my personal mini Copley Farm Crawl for some sausage, scapes, shrubbery, and Syrah...
