Another Moving Announcement
Welp, it's official. Copley will be losing another dose of whimsy to the state of Georgia as Ron and Sue Bishop from The Whimsical Pig Bed and Breakfast have listed their stunning historical farmhouse in order to move closer to family.
I first met the Bishops in 2015 when they were kind enough to open their home for a local business event. A friend was helping to plan the event and as Sue gave us a full tour, we oohed and aahed and dreamed of gathering our group of friends together for a weekend retreat. With such immaculately decorated rooms, tranquil landscaping, and proximity to The Winery at Wolf Creek (is across the street close enough?), it felt more like a world away instead of right down the road.
Their passion shows in every nook and cranny of that farmhouse and its surrounding property.
My friend and I never pulled off our weekend retreat, unfortunately, so now we're left to dream of another kind couple with as much passion for the history of the house and talent for the bed-and-breakfast lifestyle to swoop in and grab it off the market.
In the meantime, I want to thank the Bishops for the loving care they put into their home and into their business in order to bring such a treasure to Copley, and want I thank them for their kindness and support over the years.
It has all been very much appreciated.
And along a similar line...
Since we're on the subject of prime historical properties available in Copley Township, we can't miss mentioning the cute little blue number right by the middle school!
This listing by Loop member Scott Fano – Cutler Real Estate would also be perfect for someone who might want to shorten their work commute to simply another part of the house and who has a passion for history (it's the oldest free-standing home in the township and rumored to have been part of the Underground Railroad).
After all, despite the moving-to-Georgia and closing announcements (in case you missed it, we have updated the profile of Twisted Grill & Grind), there are still positives signs that Copley is poised to bounce back from the pandemic stronger than ever - the circle has new crosswalks and new sidewalks, plus we're anticipating the nearby openings of a new brewery and a new coffee shop before long!
Hope. It's a beautiful thing. We can find it, and we can grow from it.
