A Sense of Gratitude
While we're all quite ready to leave this year behind and move on to the next, I would like to take a moment to do so with an underlying sense of gratitude and hope on behalf of The Loop.
We had a handful of small businesses close or move away during 2020 and each of those losses was keenly felt. And there were times when it wasn't particularly easy to maintain a weekly newsletter letting you know what was happening with the small businesses and community organizations in and around Copley because there was, in fact, nothing happening.
When your purpose is to encourage people to get out and explore their community and its small businesses, a year like 2020 quickly became a difficult year to navigate.
But despite the times, The Loop has been able to grow. We've created the Maker Members page and added to the Businesses page. And word of The Loop has continued to spread, allowing more of you to find and follow us on social media and to subscribe to this newsletter.
So thank you to those who continue to be engaged and to spread the word through conversations, shares, likes, comments, hashtags, and reviews. Thank you for being in The Loop and for helping it grow!
2021 holds the promise of recovery and renewal, not just for the big picture but also for the small, with exciting new places still working towards opening near the Circle as we speak.
The Loop is here for it, and we're grateful to know that you will be, too.
Plus: Anniversary & Store Reset
We can't let the year come to its official end without saying "Happy Anniversary" to Uniquely Inspired Gift Baskets! Dion has been tempting us with her beautifully assembled baskets for a full year now and we're all the happier (though possibly hungrier) for it.
And speaking of beautifully assembled... As you may have seen in the list of happenings, The Market Path is open by appointment only while they reset the store for the new year. You'll be able to stop in on a whim and see what they've been up to after they reopen on the 6th!
